CIfA Approves AB Heritage Registered Organisation Status.

Successful CIfA Inspection Praises AB Heritage’s Tight Knit Team!

CIfA – the Chartered Institue for Archaeologists is the leading professional body representing archaeologists working in the UK. They set industry standards and regularly audit Member Companies to ensure high standards for archaeological practice in the UK. Any individual or organisation looking to manage archaeology or heritage on a development should seek the services of a Registered Organisation to ensure best practice which ultimately leads to value for money.

AB Heritage was audited in November 2018 to ensure compliance with industry technical standards and best practice guidelines and has been approved to retain the its Registered Organisation Status for the next 3 year period to 2022.

The CIfA Inspection team spent the day with MD Andy Buckley and Principal Heritage Consultant Daniel Dodds in the Newcastle Head Office.  Amongst the comments received, the inspection team praised the excellent communication within the company, motivated and close-knit team and care of staff.

Andy Buckley said “This is fantastic news and really justifies the incredibly high standards that we work to, but there is always more we can do to continue to improve our operations and our offer to clients.  We would like to thank the inspection team for their time and input during the inspection.”

Alex Farnell Co-opted to the CIfA Advisory Council

Senior Heritage Consulant Alex, has with others, been co-opted onto the Advisory Council to help advise the CIfA Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is responsible for managing the affairs of CIfA, incuding the day to day running of CIfA. The Advisory Council represents the interests of the membership and offers advice to the Board of Directors on policy, strategy and potentially controversial decisions.
