Laura Buckley, Outreach Manager
BEd (Hons) + QTS, NASENCO, MA in Education
Laura brings over 20 years’ experience in education to her role as Outreach Manager at AB Heritage, with a strong background in Special Educational Needs. She spent two decades as a primary school teacher, working in a variety of schools both in the UK and internationally, and specialising in early years, primary education, and inclusive learning.
Since launching AB Heritage Explorers in April 2024, Laura has led the development and delivery of engaging heritage education programmes designed to inspire young learners. She creates curriculum-linked resources that bring archaeology into the classroom, builds partnerships with schools and community groups, and champions accessible, hands-on learning. Laura is passionate about helping children connect with the past in ways that are meaningful, creative, and fun.
She also manages AB Heritage’s social media presence, using digital platforms to share the team’s work and promote the wider value of heritage education.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys family days out, playing with her two young children, grabbing a few quiet moments to read a book, and going out for meals.
