Assistant Heritage Consultant or Heritage Consultant

Due to an expanding workload AB Heritage Limited is looking to employ an Assistant Heritage Consultant or Heritage Consultant to work from our Jarrow (South Tyneside) office.

Your role will involve the production of a suite of historic environment documents, including Heritage Statements, Archaeology Desk-Based Assessments and Historic Building Recording Surveys. You will also design and manage a range of archaeological works, ranging from small scale evaluations through to large multi-phase archaeological mitigation projects, dependent on your experience levels.

You will be working in a client facing environment so excellent communication skills are essential. As you progress through the company you will be expected to manage your own workload and to identify potential leads and opportunities as a matter of course.

Continuing training will be provided but preference for this role will be given to applicants who have some previous experience in a consultancy environment. 

The position offered is full-time (37.5 hours a week) but is open to negociation for 30 hours per week. Work will involve travel / work away from home for periods of time on occasion. The successful applicant must have a full UK driving licence and membership with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA), or equivalent.

Salary of £21,100.00 to £26,407.76 (pro-rata), depending on experience.
