Daniel Dodds, Associate Director

Dan is Associate Director and Technical Team Lead at AB Heritage. He has been a professional archaeologist for over 30 years and has worked for a variety of archaeological organisations both in the private and public sectors; in research and commercial archaeology. Dan has a keen understanding of the commercial pressures of the planning system, taking pride in working with development professionals to meet their goals.
Having joined AB Heritage is June 2015 Dan has provided oversight on a large range of projects across the UK. Notable works included his design and management of AB Heritage’s archaeological works on the A9 Improvement Scheme through the Cairngorms National Park, on behalf of CFJV and Transport Scotland, as well as the extensive, complex evaluation works at RAF Desborough in Northamptonshire. He has also provided advocacy and expert witness support at planning appeals.
Dan enjoys long walks in the hills and along the coast of his native Northumberland and has a passion for natural history.
