2020 - the real changes needed lie in our own hands
So, we arrive at the final month of what has been an incredibly busy year, and one that has been dominated constantly by the issue of Brexit.
What all businesses can agree on is that Brexit uncertainty is a major hurdle and issue for the economy, and businesses of all sizes, and I am sure we will all continue to be spinning from a quite frankly chaotic year, well into 2020. Whichever way you voted I am positive that there is some desire to have the issue resolved amicably and in the best form of compromise, to allow all parties to move forward.
What has been clear throughout this issue though, is the dedication and grit that industry has developed to keep pushing forward, in horribly ambiguous times. Everyone I have spoken to over the last year, from MDs of companies to those pushing out the technical works, have all said the same thing, that we ‘just have to keep pushing forward and get on with the hard work’, to ensure we are in the best possible position to survive the uncertainties facing us.
I believe that this resolve, and focus on what is key, will play a very big part in what success we can all achieve in 2020. The illusion of Brexit from all sides, in my humble opinion, is that it is something we have to wait for politicians to sort out, when in reality the real changes needed are in our own hands – key challenges such as improving productivity, training for the future, tackling the vital issue of climate damage that any form of production can cause, and working to create a stronger global and local market that benefits all.
We are in charge of our own destiny an can make 2020 the best year it can be.
The resilience I have seen in so many businesses since the credit crunch of 2008, through the years of austerity, and through the more recent Brexit struggles, have all led me to feel that 2020 is the year for industry and commerce. It is an opportunity that AB Heritage too is waiting to take advantage of. We are ready to expand, to continue helping our loyal customer base; we are looking to improve productivity, through the way the team works alongside our clients and the planning teams; and we are looking to build the strongest most resilient team, who understand we are in charge of our destiny and can make 2020 the best year it can be.
We here at AB Heritage can’t wait to get started, and work to help you, our clients, through the planning system - getting your projects off of the drawing board and onto the building site.
Don't forget, if you commission your cost proposal from us by December 6th, we will offer you a 25% discount as a thank you!
